Matte purple lipstick and iridescent purple nail polish ruled the runways at Armani Privé. Designer John Galliano's nod to illustrator René Gruau's 40s and 50s-inspired creations for Spring 2011 was strengthened by the updo hairstyles and flaming red lipstick worn by the blonde, brunette and redhead models. Hairstylist Orlando Pita added a modern flair to strands by perfecting tresses that were sculpted, yet soft, and makeup artist Pat McGrath waved her genius brush to paint on sheer washes of pink, purple and green eyeshadow framed by bold brows, winged out liner and illuminator.
