Just last week at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards we saw the "Gossip Girl" herself sporting her signature long and wavy tresses -- which we adore, by the way. But last night, Leighton Meester decided to straighten things out.

Spotted at the screening of her latest film, "The Roommate", in Los Angeles, California, the 24-year-old actress styled her brunette locks as sleek as we'd ever seen them.

We love how this hairstyle accentuated the choppy, fringed ends and her varying shades of brown and red hues. It was the perfect mix of elegant and edgy to complement her black leather Michael Kors Collection gown and black nail polish. Meester glammed it up with smoky eyes, Harry Winston diamond earrings and Brian Atwood pumps.
