Spring was definitely in the air as models at Alexis Mabille's show during Paris Haute Couture Spring 2011 Fashion Week floated down the runway in the designer's mirror-image designs and braided ponytails.

Hairstylist Odile Gilbert wrapped the lithe beauties' blond and brunette plaits in woven flowers and vines that added a pop of color.

Another braided style we're loving is the bohemian braided updo.

I would lose braiding vines into the hair, and get some foam Hawaiian flower hair picks and tuck a couple of plumeria or orchids into the base of the braid. I like putting my hair in a bun and either putting a Hawaiian scrunchie around the bun (adds color and helps hold bobby pins in place) or putting some small hibiscus or plumeria picks around the base of the bun. A couple of bright flowers looks more elegant than a bunch of flowers and greenery when it comes to hairstyles.
