It's no secret that the stars favor black ensembles for red carpet appearances. That classic look was updated by Christina Hendricks's L'Wren Scott tuxedo robe-dress with cinched-waist and head-to-toe sparkles. The long-sleeved gown with daring slit is a new look for the "Mad Men" actress, in addition to the dark-rimed eyes.

"Glee" gal Amber Riley chose a mermaid-style Anne Barge dress for the event -- but what caught our eye was the star's blunt bangs and neon pucker.

Nicole Kidman brought sexy back in a Nina Ricci crepe dress with back lace panels and unkempt updo. We just wish the "Rabbit Hole" actress left behind the Fred Leighton necklace -- we adore the dress' intricate neckline!

Our guest columnist Rachel Zoe nailed it when she claimed that "white is the new black." The typically Gothic Winona Ryder looked like should could be walking down the aisle, not the red carpet, in a white strapless gown by Alberta Ferretti. The "Black Swan" actress added Gray bracelets and ring and a vintage-y black purse.

Meanwhile, Ryder's co-star Natalie Portman -- who has been dubbed "one to watch" this red carpet season -- showed off that growing baby bump in Azzaro's "jungle" gown and accessorized with $2 million worth of Tiffany & Co jewelry.

And Amy Adams was on trend last night wearing a pale white vintage-style Herve L Leroux draped chiffon jersey gown. "The Fighter" star added Casadei shoes and Kimberly McDonald jewels to complete her goddess look.

Celebs love to paint the town red, but at the SAGs these girls heated things up in this fiery hue. Funny girl Tina Fey made us smile in a body-hugging red lace Oscar de la Renta gown. Typically, the "30 Rock" actress plays it safe in black and navy for events, which is why we were pleasantly surprised by this red carpet choice.

It is obvious why we chose Mila Kunis as our "Look of the Day," the doe-eyed darling chose an Alexander McQueen strapless sweetheart-neckline gown with a dramatic print and more than $300,000 worth of Cartier jewelry. The 27-year-old told reporters the gown was "probably the most comfortable dress I've ever worn."

Julianna Margulies -- who went wild for a recent "W Magazine" cover -- looked sleek in a Bordeaux YSL strapless draped gown. The star -- who won for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her role in "The Good Wife" -- accessorized with Banva jewelry.
