A new year means it's time for a new Kate Moss engagement story.

Only we hope this one is for real, if only for a Kate Middleton vs. Mossy wedding dress face-off.

The Sun reports that Kate is engaged to Kills frontman Jamie Hince and the two are due to wed on July 2nd, 2011, with Kate's eight-year-old daughter with Jefferson Hack, Lila Grace, playing the role of chief bridesmaid.

According to a source, Hince proposed to his supermodel girlfriend on Tuesday night with a vintage 1920s engagement ring costing tens of thousands of pounds. He reportedly popped the question in bed, turning the lights on and getting down on one knee.

"Kate is delighted. Jamie is the man for her -- they are soul mates," the source told The Sun. "She just wanted to make him work for her hand in marriage. He has been badgering her to get married but she wanted to take her time. Over the last year they have grown so close, they are like man and wife."

Adding fuel to the fire, the couple were spotted eyeing the jewelry at shops including S.J. Phillips Ltd. in Mayfair yesterday. The celebrated the "engagement" with lunch at Claridge's hotel and dinner at Cecconi's restaurant.

"They're going to have the mother of all weddings," the source told The Sun. "It will be a huge party, one of the biggest she has ever thrown -- and she's thrown a few." The paper also reports that Topshop boss and Moss BFF, Sir Philip Green, will throw a lavish dinner party in her honor.

Let's not get too excited about another super wedding in 2011 just yet. In January 2010, Moss reportedly got engaged to Hince on her 36th birthday while vacationing in Mustique. Then, in October 2010, rumors were flying that the couple wed in a quiet ceremony in Sicily with Moss "barefoot in a see-through dress and minimal makeup."

But if it is true... then we can't wait to see what the bride wears.
