Brooklyn-based designers Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra, whose namesake brand is a favorite among editors and fashion intelligentsia, opened their doors to StyleList's Sarah Cristobal for an exclusive preview of their Fall 2011 collection.
This season, the designers drew inspiration from embraced individuality and casual elegance, rooted in the days when their girlfriends practiced a get-up-and-go manner of dressing.
Though they channel Paul Bunyan with their shared personal styles, their fashion touch is much more Paul Poiret. The duo hunker down in their Cobble Hill home to create some of the most ladylike dresses on the market -- and not just for their top-end customers. Costello Tagliapietra produced a wildly successful collection for Uniqlo last summer and they plan to do so again this fall.
Amid spools of thread, fabric swatches, framed photos from Vogue shoots and an impressive record collection, StyleList takes a look at the designers' adorable and humble home.
