Girl power was the vibe backstage at Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2011. The designer's inspiration for the collection was strong, independent American women with style, like Diana Vreeland and Gloria Vanderbilt.

THE SCOOP: "The look is all about deep-red lips, reminiscent of Diana Vreeland. We kept the skin clean -- no foundation -- and only mascara, because Diane hates false lashes," Kaliardos told StyleList.

"Diane asked for the hair to be 'attached,' meaning she didn't want it loose. We're doing a low ponytail that looks finger-groomed. The collection's a bit boyish, so it works, plus there are hats," explained Pita.

GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All products by MAC. For the third time this week, the MAC team used soon-to-launch eye shadow shade Keep Your Cool, a metallic slate gray; this time it was applied wet, in a V shape, just at the outer corners of the eyes, to look more like a smudged liner than a smoky shadow, followed by lots of black mascara. The strong lip was created using a liner to redraw the shape of the lips and fill them in a bit, and then a rounded lip brush was used to apply a new lipstick called Runaway Red.

GET THE LOOK - HAIR: All products by Orlando Pita T3. The team used a bit of gel and Control Spray on the front of the hair, to rake it back with their fingers, and then vertically with the bristles of a rat-tail brush, to keep it from looking messy. They secured the low pony with a bungee elastic.

GET THE LOOK - NAILS: Park's team gave the nails a couple of coats of a slightly pink classic beige polish from Clé de Peau Beauté.
