THE SCOOP: "The Cynthia Steffe Fall 2011 collection was inspired by safari, terracotta, earth tones, with modern ruffles; it's sweet and sophisticated, fun and feminine for the gal who put on her mom's clothes and wanted to dress up, but did it right," said Jose Rivera, Sephora PRO Beauty Team lead artist." Indeed, the collection showed dressier fabrics meant to be worn during the day, such as velvet, plissé satin and lamé in deep shades along with earthy neutral colors. Rivera added that the models were given a "Twiggy-esque look" with the eyes and that he updated the "classic and timeless red lip with a berry color."
Taylor Laswell, lead hair stylist for TRESemmé explained that the goal was to keep the hair "young and fresh -- since the clothes are so rich. A look that is very Blair Waldorf of 'Gossip Girl.'" The style is meant to be more youthful than sophisticated, and it's important that instead of using a round brush for an ultra-finished look, use a Mason Pearson brush for a straight finish.
Jin Son Choi, manicurist for the show went with a very pale beige color, as she didn't want to have anything clashing or competing with the berry lip hue, but still wanted to be youthful and sophisticated.

Moving onto eyes, assertively apply the Sephora Collection Nano Eyeliner 01 in Midnight Black, followed by Make Up For Ever Eyeshadow in Beige 76 and layer Buxom Buxom Stay-There Eye Shadow in Mutt and Pug. Last, add TARINA TARANTINO Dollskin Cheek in Filigree as the final layer, and finish eyes with Buxom Buxom Lash, as it enhances every single lash.
Lips are a combination of several elements, starting with the Sephora Collection Nano Lip Liner in 09 Pleasant Plum. Start with the liner in the middle of the lip, working outward, and blend well with a lip brush. Add Sephora Collection Shimmer Harmony Gloss Palette on top (in the darkest hue on the left), and then finish with adding the Kat Von D Painted Love Lipstick in Homegirl just in the middle. The goal is to create a lip that looks like you were just sucking on a Popsicle.
GET THE LOOK - HAIR: All products by TRESemmé. Prep hair with 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse, flip head upside down and blow-dry to create fluff using a Mason Pearson brush. Flip right side up and create a deep right-side part, but give hair a few seconds to let it fall more naturally once parted. At this point, iron only if the hair has a courser, rougher texture. Conclude the look with Climate Control Finishing Spray.
GET THE LOOK - NAILS: Add one coat of Joe Fresh nail color in Latte Latte, followed by Estée Lauder Pure Color instant Finish Quick-Dry Topcoat.
