"The seam of these pants just ripped a little but it's not because I'm fat," Rose McGowan told us about her Max Azria leather pants before his show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

McGowan insisted, "It's because I was getting dressed in the back of the car on the way over here!"

The actress, who was wearing a Max Azria tunic is an ardent supporter of both the line and the man. She told StyleList: "He makes really elegant and wearable clothes and he's such a fun and lovely personality, you want to support him." McGowan, 37, detailed her accessories: "The bracelet is Celine and the shoes are Louboutin and they're mine."

Her favorite personal red carpet outfit, she said, was "probably a Dolce & Gabbana custom gown they made for me, it was probably about two years ago at amfAR [The American Foundation for AIDS Reasearch gala in Cannes]. It was a beautiful, hand painted, silk, giant ball gown."

Something that she wouldn't wear on a carpet? "Pucci honestly is really beautiful in real life but does not translate well. There's a lot of things like prints that don't translate well."

What does she think about Fashion Week? "It's funny because everyone's very serious."

McGowan also told StyleList about her vivid lip color, "it's Fashion Week so you want to be even more fun. Fashion Week you can wear brighter colors than you can on the red carpet. For Hollywood, you have to be more of, just pretty."

She showed off her pout then purred: "I like something that's a little bit of pow."
