THE SCOOP: To unify Marc Jacob's multi-thread fall collection, the beauty teams created a perfectly polished look with just enough sass. Mane man Guido Palau fashioned the lithe ladies' locks into "sleek dominatrix-inducing ponytails."
"This look is a return to Marc's stylisticness, a beautiful profile that nods to a sense of uncomfortably strict perfection, complete with chinstraps that emphasize this dominatrix-like feel," said Palau. "Like the ponytails are almost like whips."
To achieve pin-straight strands, Palau used a flatiron down the entire length of locks and set with several coats of Redken Shine Flash 02 Glistening Mist for added shine.
A photograph of Jacobs and supermodel Christy Turlington flaunting really fresh skin and rosy cheeks was the inspiration behind, François Nars' flushed makeup look. "Marc wanted 'icy-cold cheeks,' and so the blush is drawn down in such a way that's unusual... unusual, but decadent. Like a Renaissance painting."
