Glamour on the go was the beauty motif du jour for Rachel Roy's Fall 2011 collection: hair braided with fabric, and khaki and gold eye shadows completed the look.

MAKEUP: Bobbi Brown for Bobbi Brown
HAIR: Ted Gibson for L'Oréal Professionnel
NAILS: Dana Caruso for Sally Hansen
SNAPSHOT: Effortless Chic

THE SCOOP: For Rachel Roy's Fall 2011 presentation, the designer once again offered up a capsule collection of trench coats, this time worked in denim, alongside luxe boiled wool jackets, jacquard, silk chiffon, cashmere and merino wools. The beauty elements tied very closely to the collection, literally; Ted Gibson for
L'Oréal Professionnel created "incredible braids, with the idea behind them being easy, super chic, and to incorporate Rachel's fabric into the hair."

Over in makeup, Bobbi Brown used "great fall colors, mainly a combo of gold and khaki, a little bit of '70s, graduating color from the new Tortoise palette for fall." Lips also mimicked this color family in a terracotta brown hue.

Dana Caruso for Sally Hansen worked a neutral beige color onto the models' nails in a shade created exclusively for Rachel Roy, dubbed Terracotta. This is the first time the brand has worked with Rachel Roy, and the team began working three months ahead of time to perfect the color for the show, which will now be part of the Complete Salon Manicure series and become available for sale in the fall.

GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: Brown first used a Creamy Concealer, and then a little bit of bronzer in Sandstone, and some blush in either Apricot or Nectar just on the apple and applied a combo of gold and khaki eye shadow, a shimmer shadow, that is green, but has quite a bit of brown in it, which makes it versatile for anybody. After the eye shadow has been applied, Bobbi added tons of the Lash Glamour Lengthening Mascara. Finally for lips, she used Lip Color in Twig, and her tip to putting on these darker shades is to do the bottom, smack the lip, and take a pencil of the same color, and run along the inside and blend.

GET THE LOOK - HAIR: All products by
L'Oréal Professionnel. It takes three products, some fabric and a little creativity to get this look. Follow up with Studio FX Architect Wax and use a silk blend fabric with some pliability to it to haphazardly braid into the hair. secure hair with an elastic, and the braid and fabric to the head with about five hair pins. Finish with the Infinium 2 Hairspray.

GET THE LOOK - NAILS: All you need is just two coats of the all in one color, and the Complete Salon Manicure already has a built-in topcoat. If you want to get the look sooner than later, similar colors can be found via Sally Hansen's Sweet Pea or Toffee shades.
