Tara Subkoff (above) got a little help from her friends.

The sometime-actress and designer of the Imitation collection, formerly Imitation of Christ, presented her collection Sunday at MAC & Milk (the downtown independent designer program run concurrently with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week) surrounded by her famous friends.

Chloe Sevigny, a friend since they both appeared in "The Last Days of Disco" in 1998, was one of the first to arrive at the show, and the first to run backstage and congratulate Subkoff after the models' finale.

Liev Schreiber joined Sevigny and actress Natasha Lyonne in the front row, bringing his young son Sasha, who played with Lyonne's necklace during the show and asked, "Why do the models look so sad?"

Also in attendance were Gina Gershon, who never misses a show, actor and jewelry designer Waris Ahluwalia and a gaggle of New York socialites including Zani Gugelmann, Arden Wohl and Minnie Mortimer.
