SNAPSHOT: '90s Classics
THE SCOOP: Michael Kors' Fall 2011 collection references his 30-year history in fashion, with elements of glamour, classic silhouettes and luxe silks, furs and flannel. Backstage was jam-packed with iconic models, including Karolina Kurkova, Angela Lindvall, Carmen Kass and Frankie Rayder. We have to admit, we were awestruck.
"Since there's a bit of everything -- austere, luxe, neutral, etc. -- the girls really need to look clean, pretty and minimal," Dick Page, lead makeup artist for Shiseido told StyleList.
"The hair is a little bit '90s, when it was cool not to have really 'done' hair and makeup. We did a loosely tied twist with a few bits sticking out here and there -- it's relaxed," explained Orlando Pita, lead hair stylist for the show.
GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All products by Shiseido. Page groomed the brows minimally, only filling them in where needed, but gave the lids a dose of a new bronzey taupe cream shadow in Sable that's launching in the fall. There was a little mascara and a hint of Medium Bronzer, followed by sheer peach-beige Perfect Rouge in Beige BE310.
