HAIR: Odile Gilbert for Kérastase
NAILS: Angi Wingle for CND

THE SCOOP: One of the inspiration images for 3.1 Phillip Lim's Fall 2011 collection was beautiful black swans in a green lake. It's not surprising that we saw some green and blue clothes hanging backstage and that NARS lead artist Lisa Butler chose a trio of green eye shadows to create the strong yet watery-looking eye as the focus of the face.
Odile Gilbert, lead stylist for Kérastase, told StyleList her creation was "Shogun from the front, Botticelli from the back." We got it. It was sleek and pulled back into a half-up bump and then flowed down in cascading pleat-like waves made with a triple-barrel iron.
GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All products by NARS. Butler used three green shadow shades: Cap Ferrat, Rated R and a new one for Fall 2011 in a palette called Delphes. She also used two (also new for fall) long-wear green and blue pencil liners in Rue de Rivoli and Abbey Road. The face was mostly bare, and the lips were dabbed with another new fall shade of sheer pinky-beige lipstick in Pago Pago.

Then she prepped the back of the hair with Ciment Thermique before making waves in it with the triple-barrel iron. She also used the new Elixir Ultime and Double Force Hairspray for shine and hold.
