THE SCOOP: Isaac Mizrahi's Fall 2011 collection is titled "Poodles & Cake." Backstage, that translated to a bevy of show dogs in all sizes, being groomed as much as the models. The poodles' fur was died to match the clothes.

And the dog references don't stop there -- Eugene Souleiman, lead stylist for Wella, custom-made black poodle-esque poufs for the models to wear as accessories just where the hairline meets the forehead. "I was up working on these until three in the morning!"

Val Garland, lead artist for the MAC Cosmetics team, also carried on the "Best in Show" reference, "the look is simple and 'groomed,' with a bit of early '90s/Grace Kelly thrown in." And she did groom the brows, leaving most of the face clean and giving the girls a "'90s supermodel lip in a creme caramel shade."

The CND nail team, led by Wanda Ruiz, followed suit with a custom-blended toffee shade that matched the lips.

GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All products by MAC Cosmetics. Garland used Taupe Powder Blush in the crease of the lid and lined it cleanly with Cream Liner in Black. She used Impeccable Brow Pencils to define the brows. The cheeks got a hint of Mid Tone Sepia Cream Color Base and Garland did some highlighting on the temples with Pearl Cream Color Base. The "creme caramel" lips were also created with Mid Tone Sepia Cream Color Base.

GET THE LOOK - HAIR: All products by Wella. Souleiman used lots of hairspray at the roots, "like you would a gel," to make the three connecting ponytails down the head sleek and graphic. Then he attached the custom pom-pom.

GET THE LOOK - NAILS: CND custom-blended the toffee shade from two existing colors -- about five drops of Asphalt were added to Chocolate Milk.
