If Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream isn't a beauty classic, we don't know what is.

This does-it-all salve was created in 1930 and has since developed a cult following. We use it for parched skin from head to toe (lips, elbows, heels), as well as our cuticles and even as an eye gloss on our lids!

When we heard about the latest addition to the Eight Hour Cream lineup -- Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Targeted Sub Defense Stick SPF 50 Sunscreen PA+++ -- we clamored for an early sample, as it combines the powerhouse balm (and its signature scent) with SPF 50!

This stick is ideal for getting moisture and powerful UVA/UVB sun protection to delicate areas like around the eyes, on the lips and the oft-forgotten ears.

Arden has had the product ophthalmologist, dermatologist and clinically tested, so we can trust that it won't irritate sensitive skin. Plus, the stick is translucent and it stays put, which is great for anyone who's experienced sunscreen migrating into your eyes -- hello, tears.

While the moisturizing and soothing benefits last up to eight hours, don't forget to reapply for sun protection every two hours, or after swimming or major sweating.

Bring on the sunny days, we're prepared.

I wish they would still have their other cult cream for sale: Ardena Orange Skin Creme.

Why yes, filter out all the UV rays, get no real vitamin D and die. Great move!

Oh, please, Dan. If I had used sunscreen all my life, I wouldn't have the probems with sun damage I have now. I have blue eyes, blond hair and I burned easily all of my life. With your logic, there would be no such thing as a sunburn as, after all, natural vitamin D would take care of it for everyone.

No logic at all to what you post, Dan. If vitamin D provided adequate protection, there would be no such thing as sunburn for anyone. I get natural vitamin D but that doesn't negate the need for skin protection over long periods of time.
