If it ain't broke, why fix it?

That must have been the thinking behind the attention-grabbing nearly naked bodysuit that Jennifer Lopez donned in her new video "On The Floor," which premiered during American Idol last night.

Of course, J.Lo first made headlines in a similar body-hugging catsuit roughly a year ago on Dick Clark's 2010 New Year's Eve Special, in which she wore a deep chocolate brown number by Paula Bradely that came bedazzled with crystals.

That version now appears almost modest compared to her new open-back one-piece wonder, which is made of a sheer and nude-hued fabric covered in spiderweb-shaped silver sequins. (For the record: if we'd recently had twins and looked like that, we'd be rocking this thing 24-7).

Clearly still partying like it's 1999, the 41-year-old mother of 3-year-olds Max and Emme, donned her signature super long and super straight honey-hued hair and bronzed bombshell makeup throughout the entire video.

Unfortunately, the sexy bodysuit was the sartorial highlight (and perhaps the only highlight) of the Pitbull-assisted song.

J.Lo's stylists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn also stuck her in an all-black outfit that included harem pants, an ab-baring crop top, and dated shredded vest, along with a horrific gold and ruffled gown with feathers sprouting out of the back that looked like a bad halloween costume. (The garish '80s makeup paired with that look didn't help either).

For Lopez' next video, we're thinking an uninterrupted four minutes of catsuits and bodysuits might just be the answer.
