Promoting her new album "Femme Fatale", Spears is out to send the message "that the b--tch is back and better than ever!" Her words, not ours.
The difference this time around is that the 29-year-old says she is better guarded against all the nasty things people in the media say about her.
"I have learned to always stay true to myself and never let what other people say about me change who I am. It's a really important lesson that took me a long time to learn," Spears says.
Adding that she no longer pays attention to all the bad press. "I'm past all of that. I try to block it all out and not pay attention to anything they write about me in the magazines or online. I'm done with that."
She's just starting to emerge as an adult star, but what would Britney be doing if she had chosen not to come back into the spotlight after her tumultuous few years?
"I'd be a full-time mom which would be cool. I'd miss my fans and all of the love the most, but I definitely would not miss having my picture taken everywhere I go. I wouldn't miss showering in arenas either. So gross!," Spears tells the mag.
