Chanel hosted not one but two dinners in honor of Blake Lively this week.

The "Gossip Girl" star -- and face of the company's latest handbag campaign -- was beaming in a Chanel Couture dress from the Spring 2008 collection on March 5 in Paris.

Also in attendance were Vogue's Anna Wintour (the editor chose Lively to grace the cover of Vogue's best-dressed supplement and introduced her to Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld) and indie sensations Florence Welch and Karen Elson.

The blond babe added Asian-inspired Christian Louboutin heels (she calls the shoe guru the man of her dreams) and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry to her evening ensemble.

Lively's mother recently dished to The New York Times about her daughter's stylish start: "Fashion was always part of her life because we were a family of shopaholics." She continued, "In junior high, she wanted to go shopping all the time at Forever 21. It was a big deal to go to Bebe and Guess."

Meanwhile, remember when Lively stepped out in the same Chanel frock as Alexa Chung?

And check out the star's interview with MovieFone about her film, "The Town."
