In perhaps the prettiest fashion spread we've seen of her, tennis star Maria Sharapova stars on the cover and inside pages of Russian Tatler this month in sultry pinup garb, proving her fiancé Sasha Vujacic is one lucky man.

Photographed by Thomas Whiteside in Los Angeles, the front of the glossy has the 23-year-old athlete showing off her stems in a pair of high-waisted Dolce & Gabbana panties and a midriff-baring bustier that's partially hidden under a sheer chocolate-hued Nina Ricci top and paired with a floppy summer hat.

"The shoot for Russian Tatler was remarkable," Sharapova tells StyleList. "It was a gorgeous day with clothes that were sophisticated, classic and timeless: feminine prints, florals and lace with soft tonal hues that embody the elegance and romance of spring. It was one of my favorite shoots."

Inside the magazine, the glamour continues, with the tennis star (impressively, the highest paid female athlete in the world) donning more lacy and racy Dolce & Gabbana frocks (one featuring doily-like cut-outs, the other sheer and floral), Stella McCartney, Herve Leger, DKNY and a nude-hued Valentino dress, which she wears in a pretty close-up that she says she particularly loves.

Naturally for the athlete-designer, a few pieces by TAG Heuer and Cole Haan, both brands she collaborates with, are thrown into the mix.

Unfortunately, the Russian-born Sharapova wasn't giving up any details to her fellow countrymen on her impending nuptials, only to say that the athletic couple (Vujacic plays for the New Jersey Nets) are "not in a hurry" when it comes to actually tying the knot.

At least we know one tiny detail of the wedding: She's designing a comfy pair of Cole Haan bridal heels for herself.
