Now that's magic!

Emma Watson has been named the new face of Lancôme. The 20-year-old "Harry Potter" star confirmed the exciting news this morning via Twitter after posting a series teasers to her followers this weekend.

"It starts with an L and ends with an E. I'm sure you have guessed the new face of Lancôme is me! :-)," wrote Watson.

"Thanks to her charm, romanticism and her incredible modernity, Emma Watson has become the icon of her generation. We are delighted by this new collaboration with Emma who brings a fresh spirit to Lancôme", said Youcef Nabi, President of Lancôme International in a statement.

As Lancôme's youngest face, Watson joins actresses Kate Winslet, Julia Roberts, Penelope Cruz and Anne Hathaway as celebrity spokesmodels of the French beauty house.

We can't wait to see the hot young star's debut ad campaign!

What do you think about Emma Watson being tapped as the new face of Lancôme?

I agree with you Elizabeth. Nothing against Emma except she's too young to represent Lancombe. When you picture Lancombe products you envision luxury, a mature sensuality and classiness not a Noxema Girl persona. I'm thinking your PR people are way off this time. Sorry.Get somebody mature and beautiful to show off your wonderful products. There are plenty out there.

OK, bored, we get it. But this company does have nice products, perhaps not the least expensive available, but also not the most ungodly expensive.
I'd rather pay the price for mascara that does what I want it to do, than to pay cheap prices for gunk that I'm wrestling to get on every time I'm using it. I think it's refreshing that they are using a sweet young thing who is not ultra-famous, not known for being ultra- glamorous to sell their products. I am aware that she's much younger than me, as I think most women are aware of the relativity of their age. It's a nasty job but somebody's gotta do it! (Just don't have her trying to sell mascara while she's posing with fake lashes and then claiming that fake lashes are not needed with Lancombe products.)It seems like every cosmetic company is now doing this, as if they think we can't tell their models are wearing fakes. I find this incredibly insulting to us as consumers.

Good choice Lancome. This is simply the best skincare and make-up line in the world. Their mascara has been voted the best in the world and worth every penny. Don't believe me? Try it for yourself. If (amazingly) you don't like it, get a full refund, no questions asked, at any counter. Best time to try the products is during a "Free Gift With Purchase"

Reality would designate putting a more mature celebrity spokesperson for Lancome. A 20 year old doesn't use the products so why even have her represent Lancome. Clueless! Get someone 40 plus to represent you. Someone who actually uses the products and hasn't had elective plastic surgery. They must exist out there in celebrity space. Well at 50 plus I'd be lost without my renergie products. Next time gear your products to the age group that actually uses them. I'm not delusional that I will look like a 20 year old if I use the products. Grow up and get yourself out of the infommercial mentality! Shame on you Lancome!

Please remember that Isabella Rosselini was the face of Lancome for years when she was past 40. As for the youngsters not using the product, I started using Lancome when I was 25.

She is a precious pixie, however, unless Lancombe is now targeting the very young, she is all wrong for the product. Of course she has beautiful skin, she's 20!!!!!!! Very disappointed in this decision. She should be endorsing Cover Girl Makeup.

Lancome? For a 20 year old? I have a 20 year-old grandaughter, she doesn't NEED Lancome, she has YOUTH! I love the products, but please, use a woman from the real world, who really has a use for the products you sell, not a child fresh out of pre-school!!

DON'T use Lancome...they test on animals! NO need for this in this day and age...MOST other cosmetic companies do NOT test on animals ....DON'T support them! Clerks will tell you they don't test anymore, but they do.

I didn't know they did animal testing. I haven't bought their products in years and now I won't ever again even with Emma hawking them.

Emma Watson is a real cutie pie. And her youth is a plus. She can "grow" with Lancome over the next few years.

I'm 65 and I've been using Lancome products since I was 30. I believe that's why I have have beautiful skin-I certainly don't look 30 any more, but I look still look pretty good. That said, it's LANCOME, not "Lancombe".

She is gorgeous! I think Emma represents a different type of look. Very natural .... even w/makeup. She also has a lovely figure .... seems as if this gal can wear anything and be absolutely beautiful. I heard that Emma was going to school .... college/university. Great! She's young. Education never hurt anyone. Yougogetsmartgirl!!

I agree with a lot of posters that this girl is just too young to represent Lancome. There are many other mature celebrities who are suited for the job. Not only that, but is this now going to spark a debate between mothers and daughters who can't afford Lancomes' prices? if I were a parent, I wouldn't allow my teen or young 20 something to purchase Lancome. Cover Girl and the like are just fine for those age groups and they should not be entitled to parents who cave into their every whim and spoil them on expensive products they don't need.

I agree~ She is just 20. still a baby, with baby skin... she has YOUTH on her side and doesnt need Lancome~~ They need someone in 30s or 40s to market their products~
