Well, first of all, Hudgens has been lifting to buff up for her action flick "Sucker Punch." It's an entirely different form of exercise than running scales.
"By the end, I lifted 180. I was a monster!" Hudgens says. Since filming ended she has stayed in shape by taking classes with friends.
"Having someone to go to classes with makes you want to do your best, not just for yourself but for the other person too," she says. She varies between Pilates, yoga, and Spinning. Core strength + cardio = bad ass abs.
She's changed her diet too. Four years ago Hudgens was as unhealthy as the average American teenager.
"I used to go to Cold Stone Creamery, get a tub of Butterfinger ice cream, and eat it all before bedtime. And my fingers were permanently stained orange from Cheetos," Hudgens admits.
Those habits made her HSM uniform a little too tight for her liking so she changed her habits, starting with eating breakfast every day.
"I like egg white omelets with veggies, or oatmeal with almonds and fruit," she tells the mag.
For lunch and dinner: A spinach salad with grilled chicken or salmon, marcona almonds, feta, a little truffle oil, and a sprinkle of pink Himalayan sea salt.
All the important stuff aside, so what about that breakup with Zac?
"We grew up together," she tells the mag. "It was nice to have someone to share all of those experiences with. Long-distance relationships are hard no matter what. When you don't have face-to-face time, it's just different. Having an iPhone helped, but it just wasn't the same."
