The Toxic Nature nail line features five rich shades including: Purity (a creamy peach), Bacterium (pearlized bronze), Radium (chartreuse), Stagnate (earthy mauve) and Gamma (neon orange).
"Having an artist background highly influenced this collection. The medium of paint when it is in various states [mixed on a palette, on a canvas, the washes mutating when you wash your brushes] inspired the product colors of Toxic Nature. Blends, washes, dabs, drips, daubs and splashes of color are evident in the imagery of the collection," said Alex Box, creative director at Illamasqua.
The edgy brand is known for releasing videos to accompany launches and the Toxic Nature collection is no exception. The short film above features lots of dabs, dribs and splashes of color.
Incorporated in the footage is the following artistic statement: "Enter the apocalyptic wastelands, a world of corrupted hues, poisonous pastels and a torrent of hybrid shades...This is an atomic-botanical environment where survival is key and camouflage by color is the path to existence ..."
Illamasqua Toxic Nature nail polish collection ($14 each) will be available in April at select Sephora stores and Sephora.com.
