If there's anything we've learned from Hollywood, it's to expect the unexpected. Leading ladies hit the town in starch white cocktail dresses (teamed with exquisite accessories, natch) and menswear-inspired neck ties.

Chloë Sevigny wore a leopard collared dress styled with a blazer and leather boots all from the new Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Spring 2011 collection for the GO International Designer Collective Launch on March 10. The "Big Love" actress balanced her masculine bow tie with ultra-femme garter tights.

Emma Watson went for a peach blazer, black tie, bowler hat, nude pumps and white lace shorts while shooting her first ad campaign for Lancôme at the famed Shakespeare and Company bookstore in Paris on March 14.

Androgyny was Jenna Ushkowitz's inspiration for her borrow-from-the-boys look. The "Glee" actress added a black tie to her white button-up shirt and balanced the look with sexy strappy sandals.

Singer Shontelle attended the Music Unites Girls Inc. Power of One series in NYC on March 10 in a simple white frock. Accessories livened up her ensemble: peep-toe booties plus a pendant necklace, stack of bangles and cocktail ring completed her look.

Anna Friel dazzled in white at a preview screening of her latest film, "Limitless," in London on March 12. The actress added black Roger Vivier peep-toe heels and a colorful clutch to balance her sleeveless Antonio Berardi Spring 2011 dress.

While in Paris for her European promotional tour of "I Am Number Four," Teresa Palmer opted for a white Cushnie et Ochs Pre-Fall 2011 dress with a short train and black Aldo pumps. We love her unkempt updo and flawless makeup.
