In case you haven't heard, Spring 2011 is the season of the maxi skirt.

Ground-grazing styles were all over runways from New York to Paris, and suddenly the sweeping, boho style feels just right. Minis, in the form of tight, body-hugging, mid-thigh-length dresses and skirts, feel old. But that's not to say that we can't show a little leg come spring: shorter styles do live on, but silhouettes are fuller and softer, with pleats or gathers that add romantic volume.

Our ever-diligent pals over at Refinery 29 sorted out the what's what for skirts this spring, and uncovered several surprisingly similar mini and maxi styles. Skirts for everyone! Check it out here.
