OPI Extends Shatter Line With Three Blue Shades

We've got the blues. But the good kind!

Nail polish brand OPI has expanded their Shatter line with three new shades in this season's hottest hue, blue!

From clothing and accessories to makeup, shades of blue were splashed all over the Spring 2011 runways and now nails can get in on the fun. What better way to bring the color trend into your spring style than with an edgy shatter?

The innovative Shatter line was inspired by graffiti art and has a crackled, two-texture finish when painted over any dry OPI shade.

"Black Shatter was received with great fanfare, showing that women are looking for new ways to express themselves and are excited to try different textures on their nails," says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. "Unlike traditional nail art which can be complicated and difficult to replicate, Shatter is easy to use and allows everyone to experiment with this new trend."

The new additions come in blue, navy and turquoise, joining a collection that includes the original Black Shatter and Shatter coat in white, red and silver. (Hmm, anyone else getting ideas for 4th of July nail art?)

Available in professinal salons? Are you kidding me! This stuff is availabl everywhere because this company has turned it back on salon owners and now only cares about the money. This product line is diverted everywhere and OPI does nothing about it. This no longer a salon only product. Let's at least be truthful about it!

OPI is my favorite brand of nail polish! Lasts a long time on your nails. The new blue shades, however, are not my style/color.

I suppose that blue is the chosen spring color because Teal is the Spring color for apparel. Personally, I like all the shades of Lilac, lavender, mauve, etc for Spring and summer and coral tones for Winter.

i agree about blue.....black....... a french or some shade of pink thru red..... always works.....

Clearly OPI has always been and still is the Nail FASHION expert so it is no wonder that other nail lines COPY the OPI TREND!

I like the shades, and I'm not Goth. I'm a gal over 50 yrs. I like OPI polish and I like Avon too. I don't sell either product. Oh I have a Question, why are people so mean to one another? Just becuase their likes or dislikes may be diffrent from one another. That's what makes for a better world, sure be boring if we all liked the same or disliked the same things.

WOW! I think the new Shatter OPI is too cool. I have the black and just got the silver today, actually. The blues are beautiful. Pretty sure I will have to have one before the trend moves on. Tried another brand-just awful. I should know better, usually do buy opi.
