But while a stop in our nation's capital isn't on the agenda this holiday, we've taken inspiration from the First Lady's knack for mixing and matching colorful, feminine separates. Dress: Why not get decked out this holiday? Though there's still a chill in the air, we'll be donning a universally flattering shift dress in a graphic floral pattern - a tribute to the season of re-birth and renewal. Fortunately, florals are easy to find this season: a multitude of designers sent them down their runways and the pattern has been produced at every price level.

Cardigan: A blush pink boyfriend cardigan will take care of that chill. This rosy hue complements the reds in the dress and will also pair nicely with denim, for a relaxed, comfortable look later on.

Flats: It's important to stay mobile in case an egg hunt should arise - plus, you don't want heels sinking into the grass during any outdoor activity. These ultra-versatile flats will keep you on your feet. Bonus: if you buy them in a color that matches your skin tone, they'll elongate the leg when worn with a skirt or dress.

Belt: Wear it over the open cardigan and it will add back a waistline and keep your overall look feminine, and a touch more put-together.
