Johnny Depp. Even the sound of his name makes me giddy. The gorgeous star of "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" can rock eyeliner, long hair, and skirts and still manage, every time, to look dead sexy. But as of yesterday he decided to leave at least one of his feminine traits behind, and was spotted with a short, boyish haircut. No!

Depp announced today that his next role will be in "The Thin Man", a remake of the 1934 murder mystery film. He'll be playing the debonair Nick Charles, a former detective with a hot, fun-loving wife (which makes us wonder who'll play his bride ...). Anyway, maybe the shorter cut is for his new role?

Regardless, let it be known that I for one am a fan of long hair on men (guess I never grew out of my Jordan Catalano phase) so I prefer my Johnny with a little more on top. But, alas, I suppose the new 'do isn't so bad. I mean, as long as he doesn't somehow change those cheekbones, I think we'll be safe forever.
