When you study fashion design, a Power Point presentation just won't do. Enter, the 2011 Parsons New School for Design BFA fashion show.

The May 10 event -- which has launched the careers of A-listers like Marc Jacobs and the boys of Proenza Schouler Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez -- was a tour de force that would certainly make a front row swoon. With a mixture of womenswear, menswear and childrenswear -- the showcase was full of breathtaking pieces.

Some, like Jessica Kilnger and Grace Hu must have been inspired by Reed Krakoff's feathery stilettos (the designer is an alumnus and helped host!) and others like Rebecca Bauer and John Paul Rangel took note of Alexander Wang's experimental, yet incredibly flattering silhouettes. While Rodarte's prairie-inspired collection seemed to influence many of the prints that were featured, Charlie Leibel and Brain Suter-Maury's minimalist approaches were real standouts.

So peruse the gallery above and make sure you remember these names: there may be another Isaac Mizrahi, Donna Karan or Prabal Gurung among them!
