Mom Defends Decision to Give 8-Year-Old Daughter, Britney Campbell, Botox (Video)

We first told you about Britney Campbell of San Francisco in March -- she's the eight-year-old aspiring pageant queen already dabbling in Botox and virgin waxes, courtesy of her mom, Kerry. The pair appeared on Thursday's "Good Morning America" to talk about the extreme beauty regimen with Lara Spencer.

Spencer asked Britney questions worthy of a horrifying "Law & Order: SVU" episode: Can you show me where you do it? Can you point on your face? Of the Botox, Britney remarked, "It hurt sometimes, but I get used to it," and of the waxing, "It was super, super hard to deal with that...I just don't think it's ladylike to have hair on your legs," however adding that she won't do it again. At least not for a while.

Kerry confessed that Britney didn't actually request either treatment, noting, "We talked about it. She didn't exactly ask me about it but I know that she was complaining about her face having wrinkles and things like that," to which Spencer said, "My son will come home and tell me he wants every Xbox game that existed...that doesn't mean you get it for them." Snap!

But, seriously -- then came a slew of photos depicting Britney with bruises, puffy cheeks and ice packs. In the end, the child says she "looks way better, like, beautiful, pretty, like, all those kinds of nice words." And that might be the most heartbreaking part.

Do needle-phobic wrinkle haters have reason to rejoice? Experts weigh in on the first study of topical botulinum toxin.

And check out how Botox "saved" this woman's face.

The person who performed the treatments should lose their license and the birth mom should undergo intensive therapy.

My thoughts exactly Pat. What doctor in their right mind would do this?

I agree with you botox is a poison and people have died from botox. Shouldn't this be considered child endangerment?

I agree with Laura, this is totally ridiculous, this child should be playing and having fun not worrying about wrinkles that an 8 year old doesnt even have. They should tell the mother to take a good look at herself, do this stuff to herself, she surely needs improvements, that precious little child is beautiful just the way God made her. How terrible, it makes me sad that a parent can put this child through all this mental abuse and get away with it. Mental abuse is just as bad if not worse than physical abuse... where is DYFS?????????

@Pat - A doctor doesn't preform the procedure - THE MOM DOES IT HER SELF!!!! To me, this is criminal and the so called "mom" should be in prison for abuse!!!

I agree with you. CPS needs to take the child away. Where is the father? The mother is mentally ill. The child does not need botox the girl doesn't have any wrinkles. What eight year old child has wrinkles? I feel so sorry for that child she has a stupid ass mother.

Agree! This woman is a total idiot and doesn't need to have a child!!! NO 8 year old has wrinkles. If the mom wants to do something good for this child, she needs to watch what she feeds her. This child is overweight and her mom needs to be worried about her nutrition instead of wrinkles. They need to stop pagents for kids because this is exactly what happens to mothers. They go nuts! Mothers--LET YOUR CHILDREN BE CHILDREN! She didn't want to reveal where she is getting her botox. I believe she is getting it from a drug rep that supplies it to doctors. Whoever is supplying it needs to be fired or lose all credentials. What mom would give their child a shot with a toxin from bacteria and can travel to other parts of the body. What is really funny is if you watch these stupid pagents on tv, the girls don't want to do the pagents and their moms probably would never have been able to be in a pagent. They spend a lot of money on those ridiculous gowns for a stupid trophy. Pagent moms--get a life and leave your daughters alone!!!!

What makes this any different than hitting the child ? In both cases the parent is intentionally hurting the child physically and mentally !

A doctor didn't perform this. The mother is injecting it herself. On GMA this morning, she wouldn't say where she got the Botox. this mother needs to be charged with abuse. Can you imagine the psychological abuse this is causing her daughter.

The first thing that came to mind was poor Jonbenet Ramsey, and the little beauty queen contests...and little girl Barbie Dolls. Secondly, the person who injected probably did not have a license to practice anything at all. Then the pedophliles who attend the contests. Most importantly, the stage mother/father is mentally ill. Didgusting to sexualize a small child like that. Parents should hang their heads in shame. Better yet child services should get this little girl sway from her "caregivers" or whatever these sadists are called nowadays.

It says multiple times that the mother gives the injections. How about paying attention before commenting.
