In a silk blouse, high-waisted navy skirt and embellished stilettos, actress Tilda Swinton looked polished and chic as she attended the "We Need to Talk About Kevin" photocall during the Cannes Film Festival on May 12th.

Her movie, based on the 2003 novel by Lionel Shriver, is about a fictional school massacre; Tilda plays Eva, the killer's mother, and John C. Reilly co-stars as her estranged husband, Franklin.

Swinton, who always manages to remind us that less is more with very light makeup and minimal accessories, wore Roger Vivier heels and a barely-there gold arrow broach as her only accessories. Her signature scrubbed face and low-maintenance hair draw our focus to her clothes, and we couldn't be happier about it. The "Burn After Reading" star is a lesson in effortless elegance.

We love silk blouses this season and think the 50-year-old actress wears her cream top beautifully. Always opting for the stark instead of the spectacle, we admire her outfit's simple, clean lines and careful draping.
