Burlesque dancer, model and actress Dita Von Teese oozes sex appeal. With her milky white complexion, raven locks and bright red lips, the 38-year-old Michigan native is the modern-day icon for 1940s glamour.

Currently penning a beauty book on her retro hair and makeup secrets, Von Teese sat down with celebrity makeup artist Tina Turnbow for The New York Times Style Magazine where she dished on everything from her favorite red lipstick to overcoming rosacea and perfecting a "cat eye."

While this isn't the first time she's opened up on what's inside her beauty closet, we were shocked to learn the product Von Teese reaches for to darken her brows.

"It's easy with Just For Men hair dye. I'm kind of a do-it-yourself person as far as my hair, makeup and styling go," Von Teese told Turnbow.
