Alexa Chung attended the book celebration for "Makeup Your Mind: Express Yourself" by Francois Nars in NYC wearing a retro-inspired look. The Brit cinched her polka dot shirtdress with a skinny black belt and added a bright crimson purse.

First lady Michelle Obama boarded a plane from London in a charming and sophisticated pink ombré jacquard Peter Som sheath and matching jacket. Obama secured the coat with a brooch and toted a shiny blue handbag with gold hardware.
