Christina Hendricks landed a spot on our list of celebs we love when she first wiggled onto the AMC TV series "Mad Men." The 36-year-old Screen Actors Guild award-winning actress' curves may be her most-talked-about asset, but she's sure to get lashes fluttering with her latest leading role.

Hendricks has joined forces with Latisse to kick off the brand's Wishes Challenge -- a campaign that seeks to raise $500,000 in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

She knows firsthand the difference a wish can make in a child's life after a classmate received her request to meet "CHiPs" star Erik Estrada, so Hendricks jumped at the opportunity to join the initiative when Latisse approached her. Plus, she was always curious about the popular eyelash growth treatment.

"Because of my profession I end up wearing a lot of makeup and false eyelashes. I've noticed a wear on my lashes and that they've become thin," Hendricks tells StyleList. "I've been using the product for one month and in the past three to five days I've noticed extra length. I'm excited to see my results in 12 weeks."

One change to her appearance at the age of 10 that instantly transformed her life -- thanks to a bottle of Clairol Color Blend -- was going red.

With celebs like Emma Stone, Blake Lively and Drew Barrymore suffering from scarlet fever this season, blond-born Hendricks admits that she always felt like a natural redhead. "I admired Ginger from 'Gilligan's Island,' Lucille Ball and Ann-Margret," she says. "My sweet and patient mother let me throw some red hair color on and it felt like me... special."

Hendricks, who happens to be a huge fan of fashion and lists Vivienne Westwood, L'Wren Scott, Carolina Herrera and Zac Posen among her favorite designers, says she's had a hand in designing her beloved "Mad Men" costume.

"It's actually what my Barbie is wearing: the fuchsia dress with the sash tie around the neck. I wore it in the first season and second and third [laughs]. It keeps coming back because it's my favorite."

Playing such a period-detail character on "Mad Men," the Tennessee native isn't pressured at all to remain in that era when the camera stops rolling. So what can we spot Christina Hendricks wearing on a lazy, summer day?

"I'm a pretty girly girl and I have a lot of sundresses. It's easy and I can just throw one on," she says. "I've always loved florals and I love that they're popular this season, so that just means that there is more to choose from."

When it comes to beauty icons, timeless and classic leading ladies reign supreme for Hendricks. "I know it's a little trite because every girl says it but I would say Marilyn Monroe and Mia Farrow -- they looked amazing. And Faye Dunaway," she says. "I'm into old-school beauty because I like vintage style."

Hendricks happens to be blessed with a flawless face reminiscent of those screen sirens. We had to find out the secret to her complexion perfection.

She reveals that Shu Uemura cleanser and Lancôme Genefique moisturizer are must-haves. When it's time to get her flush on, the self-professed "blush girl" uses products with a cream-based formula and finishes her look with a touch of lip gloss.

So what's next for the fiery bombshell?

Another season of "Mad Men" of course. She's filmed theaction-drama "Drive" alongside Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan and comedy "I Don't Know How She Does It?" with Sarah Jessica Parker. Both movies are set to hit theaters nationwide this September.

In the midst of a hectic work schedule, Hendricks keeps her cool with a music playlist filled with '80s jams by artists including Martika and novels like Jonathan Franzen's "Freedom."
