Back in 2009, Belgian fashion designer Veronique Branquinho shut down her personal label due to the recession. That doesn't mean she's gone off quietly though -- for the last year she's been involved in an on-going collaboration with Camper, creating modern interpretations on their classic men's sandals and Derby shoes. Now, Branquinho's taking a stab at the women's side.

The Veronique Branquinho for Camper line recently introduced some seriously stellar heels for spring/summer. Available in Camper stores now, the collection consists of three pairs of edgy espadrille-inspired sandals in punchy colors and with beautiful braided detailing throughout. They run for about $215-$250.

While Camper's no stranger to artistic aesthetic (they've collaborated with Antwerp based designer Bernhard Wilhelm and avant-gard designer/artist Maria Blaisse), their women's shoes usually tend to be a lot more substance than high-style. Branquinho's new women's collection has definitely injected a heavy amount of cool factor into the 30-year-old Spanish brand. After all, the company's motto is "imagination walks" and lucky for us, it's clear here that Branquinho has let hers run wild.
