Kreayshawn is no label whore, as anyone who's seen her infectious rap video "Gucci Gucci" knows (and said video's garnered almost 3 million YouTube views). The viral hit sees Kreayshawn, clad in a Minnie Mouse headband and oversize jewelry, and sidekick Lil Debbie strutting down the streets of LA dismissing the titular luxury brand and its followers; Louis Vuitton, Fendi and Prada are also name-checked in the track's catchy chorus. We caught up with the 21-year-old Oakland MC, who visited StyleList's offices after inking a deal with Columbia Records, to discuss personal style.

What inspired "Gucci Gucci"?
"Gucci Gucci" was basically, like, me moving to L.A., seeing the typical girl that dresses all prissy, and I call them basic b*tches. You know people think it's a song that's going after Gucci's neck or something like that and it's not. You can wear it but don't let it define you. Honestly if a girl's wearing, like, a Gucci shirt with a Gucci belt and a purse and a visor, that's not cute at all. You can't get away with that -- with me --but you can always sprinkle it in there with your own stuff and it's all good.

Is there any designer that you would pay for?
It's funny 'cause now I'm like, "I didn't say Chanel [in the song] – I'm going to get a Chanel bag." People be saying, "Watch, when she gets some money she's going to get a Gucci purse." But I don't think that's my style. I like finding random stuff and random brands. Maybe one day when I'm sophisticated and older I might settle down and invest in a nice leather handbag.

How would you describe your sense of style?
It's crazy. Sometimes I'll dress like a boy, sometimes I'll dress like a Japanese crazy teenybopper. I have clothes from the 7th grade that I've kept and still wear.

I have to ask: Where'd you get the Minnie Mouse ears in the "Gucci Gucci" video?
Disneyland. Everyone can get one at Disneyland.

What about the Fred Flintstone jacket you wear in the "Bumpin' Bumpin'" video?
The Flintstones was a great thrift store find. That was something you find and you're like "Oh, this is mine -- I'm keeping it!" I just got it dry-cleaned because I lost it for three months. I was at my friend's house, and I told her and was like "Do you have any of my clothes?" and she brings it out and I was like "Oh sh*t, it's back." People really hit me up on email, like "It's my girlfriend's birthday in two weeks. Can I please buy your Flintstones hoodie 'cause she'd love it?"

Where do you shop?
I like Goodwill and the thrift stores. I don't like going into a store and picking from a bunch of cute stuff that's already been found. One of the best parts is finding it myself.

Are there any musicians or celebs whose style you admire?
Amber Rose. She always does something cool -- strange but not that strange. I'm not hip on what's in. I'm just throwing clothes on.

What do you wear on a typical night out with friends?
Usually I'll wear short shorts with some crazy little-kid tights that have cats on them, and a babydoll shirt and a leather jacket. It's pretty strange.

Tell me about what you've got on now.
I'm wearing a shirt that says Bougie Boy and the tiniest Wet Seal shorts and some Uggs. I put them on and I couldn't take them off. I wear them all the time. It sucks 'cause I never really got into buying shoes. I don't even know what shoes to get. I just wear Uggs and Jordans.
