Ever wonder what a year's worth of makeup looks like? Well, that's exactly what Dutch artist duo Lernert & Sander set out to do.
Employing seven bottles of foundation, two bottles of blush, three lip glosses, and two bottles of cream eyeshadow (which made up 228.40 ml of makeup -- the equivalent of about 8 ounces), they applied layer after layer (365, in fact) of Ellis Faas makeup to model Hannelore Knuts during the 9 hour shoot. Luckily, the directors are friends (and neighbors) with Faas, so "running out of makeup" wasn't an issue.
Head over to Nowness for a full breakdown of the shoot. And, for a makeup look that's less extreme, check out our flipbook of summer eyeshadow ideas.
