Riccardo Tisci is the latest fashion figure to serve as a the guest editor of the sixtieth issue of fashion bible Visionaire. A tri-annual fashion magazine, Visionaire has a different theme and creative direction for each installment. In this issue, Tisci took on the theme of religion, recruiting muses like Marina Abramovic and Christina Ricci, photographers such as Inez & Vinoodh, Mert & Marcus, Pierpaolo Ferrari and Mario Testino and models including Natasha Poly, Mariacarla Boscono, Lara Stone, Arizona Muse, Lea T and Jamie Bochert.
Tisci, who is now the Creative Director of Givenchy, grew up in Italy and explores his Catholic background through exclusively black and white photographs. Co-founder of Visionaire Cecilia Dean told The Huffington Post, "Riccardo was a fantastic and very involved guest editor. At the beginning, he presented hundreds of inspirational images, and lists of artists young and old, established and emerging and potential collaborations to pursue. He had a real focused vision." This is not Tisci's first attempt in the magazine world: in 2008, he curated the eighth issue of Belgian publication A MAGAZINE.
