Channeling your inner pin-up girl without having stiff hair can be a challenge, but Elizabeth Banks got the retro look right at the New York City premiere of What to Expect When You're Expecting. We love how her style is structured, but not overly-coiffed. ?When Elizabeth's makeup artist and I arrived to get her ready, we took one look at her gorgeous beaded dress and thought of Old Hollywood glamour,? said her hairstylist Matthew Monzon. ?It needed to have that feeling, but with a modern twist.? Monzon started with damp hair, and applied a touch of mousse in before blow-drying with a round brush. He wrapped sections of Banks's strands around a medium-barrel curling iron, pinning each ringlet as he went along. Once the set was cool, Monzon brushed through the style, and smoothed a molding putty through for a glossy finish. ?To finish, I pinned up her length to create a tighter, more structred look,? he added.
