According to reports, Amy Winehouse was offered £500,000 (which amounts to $824,440) to launch a fragrance.

If this is true, Amy would join the ranks of Paris Hilton, Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, and P. Diddy, all of whom have their own scents.

Reports say the company wants to capture the essence of Winehouse's signature "50's" style, though it's not clear exactly what that would smell like. Hopefully not like hairspray and cigarettes.

We happen to think a scent inspired by tropical St. Lucia (where Winehouse has been living for months) might actually do well.
