Sharon Stone's Mini Dress - Age Appropriate?

Sharon Stone shows serious leg while hanging with Marchesa's Georgina Chapman. Photo by Jeff Vespa, amfAR/WireImage

Sharon Stone has a rockin' bod, that's no secret, but does a killer physique mean a 51-year-old woman should wear a dress that looks like it belongs on Blake Lively?

Admittedly, we are totally jealous of her thighs, and legs in general, and the glitzy getup is less revealing than her infamous scene in "Basic Instinct." Still the question remains -- is this micro mini dress age appropriate?

Stone has never been one to follow the fashion rules. Need we remind you of the Gap tee she paired with a Valentino skirt for the 1996 Oscars? Mr. Blackwell criticized the look, saying it "wasn't cute or funny." Though, it did leave a lasting impression.

What do you think of her hiked-up hemline?

Mariah Carey, the only lady more girlie than an actual Barbie Doll, had a whole design competition for a dress to match her new fragrance, Luscious Pink!

The winning designer, 20-year-old Julian Contreras from San Jose, Calif., created one of the most fabulously, outrageously pink gowns we've ever seen. The pink couture masterpiece was brought to life by Mariah's personal stylist, and the singer recently wore it out to a romantic dinner with her husband, Nick Cannon (right).

Only three Luscious Pink dresses have been created -- one for Mariah, one for the winning designer (not that he's going to wear it) and the third is being auctioned off on eBay to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. That means you can bid today through May 30th to win Mimi's Luscious Pink dress and support one of her favorite causes!

Luxe Brands Opening Pop-Up Shops

Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Hermès have started a new trend in luxe retail -- The Pop-Up Shop. Once reserved for mass brands like Target and Levi's, high-end brands are now recognizing the value of these now you see us, now you don't stores.

A great way to make something special is to make it only available for a limited time. Maybe that's why there's a new kind of luxury boutique popping up -- the kind that swiftly disappears.

According to WWD:
"Europe's luxury players are suddenly enamored with more modest, temporary stores. ... Vuitton, which opened a temporary store in Tokyo last winter to showcase a collaboration with Comme des Garçons and its iconoclastic designer Rei Kawakubo, will open another time-limited retail venture in the Japanese capital later this month while the French brand awaits a permanent location at the new Seibu Ikebukuro department store in 2010. ... The temporary store will look the part: surrounded by scaffolding, wrapped in white mesh and with a raw interior with sections defined by stacked wooden crates (although the products themselves will sit on elegant, padded shelves)."

Celebrity makeup artist Jake Bailey, who did the makeup for Katy Perry's "Waking Up in Vegas" video, gives StyleList the simple steps for achieving this look at home. (Showgirl feathers optional.)

Because of the super tight shooting schedule, there wasn't a lot of time for makeup changes. I had to create different looks and there were many scenes to get through so I chose to focus on different lip colors. When you're using an intense pigment, choosing different lipstick shades is a great way to change-up your look in one simple step without having to change everything. I used intense, unique pigments to make each look special without wasting valuable time on set. – Jake Bailey, MAX Factor Celebrity Makeup Artist
