Karl Lagerfeld to Design Macy's Capsule Collection

Looks like Santa got our wish list.

Karl Lagerfeld is bringing his Chanel-approved dose of chic to Macy's, where he'll be launching an affordable capsule collection of womenswear, WWD reports.

Set to debut in September 2011, the masstige line is part of the retailer's plans to follow in Target's footsteps by launching designer collaborations at a lower price point, according to the paper.

First up? Designer Kinder Aggugini, who will kick things off in February with a "rocker-chic" line.

The collections will reportedly rotate every two months.

"Karl Lagerfeld holds a unique place in the world of fashion, an icon who is the ultimate modernist," Terry J. Lundgren, chairman, president, and CEO of Macy's Inc., told WWD.

"Through the decades, his style and vision have marked the history of design.

"It is a tremendous honor to bring his inimitable perspective to our fashion customer."

And it will be a tremendous honor to finally get our hands on designs from Lagerfeld -- who is reportedly also working on another masstige line which will be sold online -- without going into ye olde overdraft.

Mr. Lagerfeld, can we put in a formal request for some quilted bags and bouclé jackets please?

Kate Middleton Replica Dress Sells Out In An Hour

We think it may be time to quit our day job and start making blue wrap dresses.

In yet another sign of Kate Middleton mania, the $25 replica of the future royal's engagement dress sold out online just an hour after its launch, the Telegraph reports.

Offered by British retailer Tesco, the short-sleeved cotton F&F frock was modeled after Middleton's Issa dress, which also sold out within 24 hours of her engagement announcement.

But breath easy, royal wannabes. Tesco has confirmed that more stock will be added this week, though they expect to be completely sold out by week's end, according to the paper.

"Kate Middleton looked extremely elegant in her choice of outfit and many women wanted to find a high street replica of this now iconic dress," Tesco's Jan Marchant told the paper.

"The rate at which the dress sold out online is testament to how influential Kate's style choices are."

Um, you think? Now, if anyone needs us, we'll be figuring out how to DIY sapphire and diamond rings.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton have set a wedding date.

Going through Kardashian withdrawals? No chance.

Middle sis Kim and mother Kris Jenner have been tapped as the faces of Skechers Shape-ups toning footwear, the company has announced in a press release.

Launching in 2011, the campaign will include a "Shaping Up with the Kardashians" mother-daughter fitness challenge and a holiday giveaway (running now until Jan. 10).

Skechers has also unveiled the "Kardashian Collection," a selection of fitness footwear styles -- ranging from winter boots to sandals -- hand-picked by Kris, Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe.

"My mom and I are thrilled to be joining the Skechers family to help promote health and wellness," Kim says in the release.

"Shape-ups have already impacted my fitness routine for the better.

"I am always on the move and never know exactly when I can fit in my next workout.

"Skechers Shape-ups help me get the most out of every step."

"The Skechers Shape-ups styles are perfect for the woman on the go," adds Kris.

"As a working mother of six, I am constantly on my feet, running from one appearance to the next, but with Shape-ups, I am always working out, even when I'm working."

In other words, they like it, they really like it.

And judging by how toned Kim looks in her new bikini campaign for Beach Bunny Swimwear, we can't blame 'em!

Prince William and Kate Middleton Set a Wedding Date

Mark your calendars: Will and Kate have set a date!

The future king and queen -- who announced their engagement last week, in case you've been hiding under a rock -- will tie the knot in Westminster Abbey on April 29th, Clarence House has confirmed to the BBC.

And while royal officials were mum on Middleton's wedding dress pick (boo!), British Prime Minister David Cameron has deemed the occasion a public holiday (yay!).

Oh, wait -- we're not British. Guess we'll just have to pull a sickie so we can watch at home.

"We know that the world will be watching on April 29, and the couple are very, very keen indeed that the spectacle should be a classic example of what Britain does best," Prince William's private secretary, Jamie Lowther-Pinkington, told the BBC.

"Prince William and Catherine have made it very clear that they wish everybody to be able to enjoy the day with them."

Does that mean our invite's in the mail?

While both Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Mother got married at the historic Westminster Abbey, it was also the site of Princess Diana's funeral in 1997.

The news also means we'll have another 157 days of wedding gown frenzy, replica engagement rings, and knockoff dresses. Better make yourselves comfortable!
