Karl Lagerfeld for Macy's: A Sneak Peek

While Karl Lagerfeld's collection for Macy's "Impulse" department won't be dropping in stores (and online) until August 31st, we were able to preview the collection firsthand. Expect plenty of Lagerfeld signatures: black, white, tweed and leather. But also some unexpected more feminine pieces such as printed chiffon and pops of hot pink. Lagerfeld may be the head designer of luxury fashion houses Chanel and Fendi, but he is no snob, having previously collaborated with brands such as H&M and Magnum Ice Cream. "To me Macy's is the perfect department store in the US where everybody can find what they're looking for without ruining their budget," he says. "That's why I am happy to make this limited collection just for Macy's." We are happy he did, too.

Christopher Kane's latest creation pays homage to his love of innovation and neon in an oozy mix of gel and vegetable oil. A bag that challenges even the most brazen with their style, it also evokes a time when Lisa Frank and oily stickers reigned.
