Puppy Love

Carrie Underwood's July 10th wedding is bound to inspire brides around the globe, but one of our favorite aspects of the country crooner's nuptials is the fact that she plans to have her Chihuahua, Ace, act as a ring bearer. "He's like my kid," she told US Magazine. "It would be like if I was getting married and I had a child -- of course my child would be in the wedding!"

Now, you might not be able to follow the singer's lead with your own flawless yellow diamond engagement ring, and you might not have designers knocking down your door in the hopes of designing your wedding dress, but if you want to include your cute kitty or precious pooch in your wedding, like Underwood, we've got just the bridal accessories you need. Just be careful about designating your canary as your maid of honor -- we hear they're "flighty."

Michelle Obama Shoe Coming to Ritz-Carlton Presidential Suite

When you think of a hotel suite, you might think of style, but you probably don't think of fashion.

The Presidential Suite at the Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach in Florida is an exception, as it boasts a wall of "shoe art" paying tribute to former First Ladies and other worldly dignitaries.

The almost 2700-square-foot suite -- which can be yours for $4,000 to $6,000 a night -- includes a nightly bath butler, and, as we found upon visiting, an under-lit onyx bar and stunning views of the Atlantic, which pale in comparison to the gorgeous display of shoes created by Miami designer Robert Tabor.

Michelle Obama's shoe will make its debut on January 17 (the First Lady's birthday); just a few days prior, the Obamas will celebrate their first year in the White House. As you would imagine, Mrs. O's shoe steps up the style quotient.

Like Mrs. O., the lemongrass-colored lace shoe is high-fashion, channeling her Mrs. Obama's dress at the Presidential Inauguration.

Embellished with a velvet and jeweled bow and an "Obama '08" campaign button at the toe, it also showcases a column inspired by the White House architecture, as well as a graduation cap and insignia from both Princeton and Harvard Law.

Also prominent is a family portrait, accented by a red, white and blue ribbon and Mrs. Obama's First Lady campaign button.

We all know Skype rocks when it comes to keeping in touch with friends and family who are scattered around the globe, but have you thought about what it could do for your wardrobe?

This technology is already in use by designers like Norma Kamali, who has launched a new service that allows clients to receive a Skype call from the designer during a "Try Before You Buy" party.

The Norma Kamali Collection's personal shoppers select pieces that match the lifestyle and body type of the virtual attendees, then ship a trunk full of designs for each woman to try on and experience in person.

We chatted with Jamie Sorcher, resident tech expert at Skype, about how this technology could affect the way we experience fashion and shopping in the very near future.
