Stella Tennant in V Magazine; She Even Cracks a Smile

Stella Tennant hasn't smiled since college.

OK, that's an exaggeration. She hasn't smiled for a photo shoot in 20-something years. (According to Modelinia, Tennant made it a rule to never smile for the camera.)

Although Tennant retired from modeling in 1998, she still clearly has what it takes, as proven in these chic black-and-white shots by photographer David Sims for the September issue of V magazine.

What's more, she's broken her number-one rule by cracking a smile in two of the frames!

Did we mention she's 39 years old?

The Scottish native and her photographer husband returned to her homeland 12 years ago, purchasing a country estate to raise their four kids and occasionally posing for ad campaigns (including Ferragamo, Burberry, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, and Marc Jacobs).

While Tennant hasn't walked the runway in some time, her editorial work is perfectly on par, don't you think?

Isabel Toledo Payless Collection - First Look

The fashion world was aflutter when news broke in March that Isabel Toledo (aka, a first lady favorite) would be designing an accessories line for Payless. We've sat wondering what creations the adventurous designer would dream up, and now, we've got a sneak peek.

From fur-adorned boots to on-trend ankle booties and demure satin-bow-topped heels, Toldeo has created a full range of footwear.

The Chicago-based designer created the Ghillie (above), a rubber-tread, patent lace-up heel, especially for French boutique Colette (they're already on sale there).

"The Ghillie shoe is an important design originating from Scotland as a smart shoe for walking the wet and muddy countryside. I love the Ghillie because it's unique and practical," explained Toledo in a release. "They complement the daring urban gladiator leg or a discreet workers' pant."

But don't start researching international shipping rates to scoop them up from Colette just yet: Upon surfing payless.com, we found four styles tucked away and available now. The complete collection hits stores Sept. 7.

This is the first collection Payless has offered at another retailer. The limited-edition, exclusive Colette zig-zag-heeled wedge soles come in blue, red, and winter white, as well as yellow (the Payless version).

In addition, the collection will include three handbag styles available in late September.

If you happen to be in New York City for Fashion Week next month or see footage from the event, you might think there's a model-boot cult across the city.

Turns out, forty top runway models will be wearing Nine West boots specially designed for Modelinia with a built-in pedometer for the Runway Relief project.

The models -- led by industry fave Coco Rocha -- will measure the number of steps taken as they strut the runway, book it from one show to the next, and walk the city and duke it out for the most number of paces.

Nine West will make a monetary donation for every step to the CFDA's Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.

Here's how you can get in on the action:

1. Sponsor a model.
Sign up on Modelinia to keep track of your girls and donate $1 for every ten steps.

2. Buy your own Nine West/Modelinia boots. Love the motorcycle boot look? You can get your own pair on Facebook later this month or at the company's Fifth Avenue, NYC, location in early September.

3. Enter the Survival Kit contest
. Check out Nine West on Aug. 31 and enter to win a complete Runway Relief Survival Kit, which includes a pair of boots, a Fashion Targets Breast Cancer tee, a canteen, and an army bag -- all shown on the models below.

Hermès Launches I Love My Scarf Site, Gives Tips for Wearing a Scarf Stylishly

Hermes J'aime Mon Carre I Love My Scarf website

Square off: Meet J'aime Mon Carré (or "I Love My Scarf") -- a new sit from Hermès. Photo: Hermès

If you've ever received a silk scarf, chances are you've wondered how to wear it -- particularly those of the square variety. Well, wonder no more: Enter J'aime Mon Carré, or in English, "I Love My Scarf."

A series of street-style shots akin to The Sartorialist or Art of the Trench, the newest Polaroid-bordered fashion snaps are curated via an unlikely source: Hermès (yes, of the $80,000 handbag).

The storied French fashion house has had a bit of a reboot, now appealing to a younger crowd -- and taking their styling tips, too. Every photo features an inventive, out-of-the-box way to wear the designer silk square.

Marketing ploy or pure art? Most likely a little bit of both, as the site was launched to introduce a limited-edition line of scarves that will be offered at Colette in Paris in September -- just in time for Paris Fashion Week.

Georgia May Jagger Heats Up Hudson Jeans Fall 2010 Ad Campaign

Images from the Hudson Jeans Fall/Winter 2010 campaign have just been released, and 18-year-old Georgia May Jagger is undoubtedly making her parents proud with her smoking-hot poses.

It's the third ad campaign that the model -- daughter of Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall -- has shot for the denim brand. This time, she was photographed by Mario Sorrenti on the compound of the 1912 Italian Renaissance-style Alder Mansion in Yonkers, NY. Formerly an abandoned ruin, the mansion has been restored to its original prestige.

"Georgia May Jagger is rock aristocracy and we wanted to capture this spirit of English rock-and-roll as she comes into her own," the jeans company said of Jagger.

But Jagger wasn't the only fashion royalty on set: blogger Bryanboy was invited to Alder Mansion as well, to snap photos and write about the experience for Hudson's denim blog.
