This fall, overly-exaggerated, almost doll-like lashes were all over the runways -- paired with everything from clean, bare skin at Miu Miu to dramatic red lips at Gucci. Subtle they are not, but that's the appeal.

There's three fantastic options for getting Penelope Tree-esque lashes. If you want a super winged-out effect, apply a few coats of Fairy Drops Scandal Queen Mascara to upper and lower lashes, pulling diagonally away from the eye. When going for dramatic eye makeup, two pairs of lashes are better than one. Choose different types of eyelashes: a natural-looking pair (Eve uses the #105) and a pair with a little more drama (#107) for the extra glam look.

Using tweezers, remove the more dramatic lashes from their tray and layer them over the natural-looking lashes. Keep the second pair of lashes in their tray when layering to ensure that both pairs of lashes line up perfectly. No need to use glue for this step, there's already a small amount of adhesive along the strips to hold the lashes together.

Pull the newly attached lashes from the tray gently with tweezers and measure against your eye. If the lashes are too long for your lid, trim the lash from the outside.

Apply a thin coat of black eyelash glue along the strip until tacky.

Tip: It is better to use eyelash glue that dries matte black so you don't end up with a weird shine above your lash line.

Still using tweezers, try to place the lashes as close as you can to the lash line. When performing this step on yourself, you can use two tweezers to apply the lashes, one holding each end, for more stability.

Once the lashes are on your lash line, press gently to glue them onto the skin and then flip them up with the tips of your fingers. This may look strange, but you will be using the flipped fake lashes to lift and curl your natural eyelashes.

Place your finger gently on the eyelid and, using your favorite mascara, weave your natural lashes with the fake ones.

Apply a Primer Moisturizer with Astaxanthin all over your face using a latex free sponge. By using a moisturizer with Astaxanthin you not only hydrate your skin, but also provide your skin a natural sun protection equivalent to an SPF 20 without the chemicals.

Tip: If you are applying a moisturizer or a cream product on someone else it's a good idea to apply the cream on to a metal palette first and then apply it on the client/friend's face. Try to use a Latex-free sponge as some people can be very allergic to latex; the correct tools can make all the difference in obtaining the ideal application!

Using a different sponge apply a Mattifying Anti-Shine Gel to your forehead, nose, and anywhere else you may have shine. Be sure to shake the tube before applying. You can also apply this gel on your eyelids to avoid creasing on the lids due to oiliness.

When choosing an anti-shine product, look for a brand that has a little tint, so when it dries it will not leave an unusual film on your skin. EVE PEARL's Anti-Shine Mattifying Gel comes in two shades: A for light to medium skin, B for tan to dark skin.

First, Prep and Prime! Use lighter side of HD Dual Foundation and apply on the eyelids. Then add the lighter color of the HD Dual Pressed Powder on top of the HD Dual Foundation onto the eyes to help the eye shadow last throughout the day.

Apply a thin line of Black Pearl Smudgeproof liquid liner to top lash line.

To get Kim Kardashian's vivid eye makeup, use shimmers and dark, bold colors like the Diamond Eyes Eye Palette to achieve the look. With an Eyeliner Brush, use darkest color from Diamond Eyes Eye Shadow Palette to smoke out the liquid liner.

Use darkest colors of eye palette in the crease of eyes to make eyes appear wider and fuller. Use lighter, blending colors in center of eye, and light shimmery gold or silver in the inner eye to open them up.

To add accent to the eyes, you can add water to the eye shadow. This emphasizes the eyes and makes them appear glowing with lighter colors and deeper with darker colors.

Gently pull the bottom lid down and add the blackout eyeliner pencil to lower lash line for more of the Kim Kardashian drama! Add the final eye shadow touches by going over the outside of lower lash line with a shimmery shadow.

Next, add one pair of faux eyelashes or even layer one pair of lashes on top of another for more intense looking eyes-Eve uses both the #105 and #107 lashes in this makeover. Watch our False Lashes tutorial here, or stay tuned for our upcoming layered lashes video.

Apply mascara and clean any excess makeup from underneath the eyes by removing it gently with a sponge and priming moisturizer. Now apply your HD Dual Foundation with the reverse contouring technique (follow a basic foundation tutorial here). Apply Salmon concealer to the under eye area.

For that flawless foundation finish, wet your sponge for a smoother application and blend all makeup evenly.

Add a light pinky gloss, just like Kim! And for that finishing touch, add some of the Bronzing Highlighting Trio for overall shimmer and to give your skin that beautiful and healthy looking glow.

Sometimes subtle says it best. Mixing warm tones -- in soft peachy, apricot shades -- is an easy way to enhance your natural glow (and avoid looking too washed out). Even better, you can often use the same product on different parts of your face. This week, we're channeling the subdued skin tone palettes at Prada and Valentino.

For eyes, a tawny, almost clay-colored shadow is a fresh alternative to heavy liner. Follow by highlighting the inner corner of the eyes and beneath the brow for an even brighter, more wide-awake effect. To create an ethereal, lit-from-within flush, add a touch of illuminator to cheekbones (and even eyelids). Finish your look with a tinted balm like Fresh Sugar Honey lip treatment -- the sheer color will look like your natural lip color, but better. In search of a new way to wear stripes? We've discovered a cool and crisp manicure that may motivate you to stay between the lines.

Long Beach, California-based sisters, Donne and Virginia Geer, are the dynamic duo behind the Tumblr, Hey, Nice Nails!, where the professional manicurist and graphic designer unleash their creative stock of funky digits. Inspired by a Jil Sander rainbow-colored sweater (worn by R&B singer Usher in the photo above), Virginia recreated the German fashion designer's signature strokes of color.

"I tried to break up the pattern on the garment into five different areas and represent that portion on a nail," she told StyleList.

Virginia mastered this design with the help of a tiny paintbrush and 10 bold nail polish colors including: CND Bicycle Yellow, Models Own Coral Reef, Essie Turquoise & Caicos, Essie Absolutely Shore, Essie Lollipop, American Apparel African Violet, Sinful Colors 24/7, OPI Black Onyx, China Glaze First Mate, and OPI A Grape Fit. She prepped her nails with Seche Vite as a base and finished with Orly Bonder top coat.

This striped nail art took two hours per hand to perfect, so we'd recommend trying this look on a lazy Sunday while catching up on the latest gossip with your girlfriends.

No need to match your blush to your clothing, your blush should make you look your best, regardless of what you are wearing. Eve shows us how a trio of blushes and a fan brush can brighten and lift the face with proper application.

Eve has already used HD Dual Foundation and Pressed Powder to match our model's face to the rest of her body, covering up her rosacea without making her skin look chalky (see the Foundation tutorial here. Now that the skin is even and clear, we can bring color back into her face, this time strategically placing the blush to contour and illuminate.

Take a fan brush and sweep it across all three colors: the pink blush, the peach blush, and the bronzer. Hold the Fan brush parallel to your jawline and apply the blush across the cheek in a back-and-forth motion, keeping the color high on the cheek area. If you are not sure where to apply the blush, simply smile and apply directly to the apples of your cheeks. NOTE: Try not to use large/thick blush brushes, they tend to pick up too much color, causing you to spend just as much time wiping off the blush as you did putting it on.

Applying blush is the final highlight of Eve Pearl's method of Reverse Contouring. Eve's method defines the cheekbone without having to create an unnatural shadow beneath it (which actually ends up giving a more rounded appearance or if really done wrong, leaves you looking like you have dirt on your face). By applying the blush on the apples of your cheeks and sweeping it upwards towards the eyes, it actually brings the focus higher on the face and gives the appearance of a face lift. The result is a youthful and beaming face with natural-looking color placement. And that's what makeup is supposed to help us create...a natural-looking, healthy glow!

During the summer, we're bombarded by images of gorgeous, (supposedly) carefree warm-weather styles -- but all we really want to do is lie down, preferably near a pool, with a bucket of lemonade in hand.

So as not to put you too far out of your summer routine, our friends over at Refinery29.com rounded up the lazy girl's guide to gorgeous. Here are a few of our favorite tips:

Dirty Does It
Although a cold shower is sometimes the only way to beat the heat, other times we just can't be bothered. The good news is, all it takes to take your tresses from greasy and limp to gleaming and voluminous is a couple spritzes of dry shampoo. Dry conditioner works wonders for creating shine in dry or frizzy hair. Try Batiste Dry Shampoo ($7.99) or TIGI Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Conditioner ($19.95).

Go for the Bold
We're telling you -- bold brows are back. Lucky for us, the experts at Refinery 29 agree -- and lucky for you, the look requires less tweezing and pruning and more letting-them-grow (read: doing nothing). To help ease in the look, try dotting a double-sized brow highlighting pencil -- like It Cosmetics Brow Power Lift ($26) - underneath your eyebrows to make your eyes look brighter. The pencil has both a matte and a shimmery option, so it'll take you from day to night, too.

The Multi-Tasker
Get a product that does it all -- there are a vast number of moisturizer options that include SPF, foundation, and an anti-aging product. Avoid piling on three layers of cream by using just the one, like Dr. Dennis Gross's All-in-One Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 15. But don't forget that moisturizers generally don't come with particularly high SPFs -- so if you're going to be out in the sun all day, you will want to go for that extra layer of protection.

Love the Margiela look but can't afford the price tag? Take some inspiration from manicurist extraordinaire Sophie Harris-Greenslade of the blog The Illustrated Nail who took the situation into her own hands and came up with an inventive Martin Margiela-inspired nail art.

Known for avant-garde designs and minimalism, Margiela never puts his name on the inside of a garment. His simple numbering system, however, has become recognizable in its own right and sets Sophie's hands above the rest.

Give it a try this weekend and if you are in London this September, check out Sophie's nail art exhibit at Degree Art Gallery on Vyner Street in East London where her work will be displayed alongside the designs of other nail artists including Sophy Robson and Marian Newman.

There's a total glamour effect with strong brows: When done right (our inspiration is more Arizona Muse, less Joan Crawford), it can be instantly face-framing. Even if you weren't born with naturally awesome brows like Muse, you can channel the model's look with one of these brow-filling options.

First, start by taming any unruliness (we love Chanel's double-ended pencil). Long, dark lashes are blinking out from all the beauty pages this season. And it's time you got in on this eye-opening experience. Even if you were born with a great natural set, makeup professional Eve Pearl will show us how lash enhancement can take you from pretty to pretty amazing.

Let's begin....

First, pick up a pair of your favorite lashes. Try to go for the more natural looking kind, you do not want to look like you are going out for Halloween! Your own lashes should be naked -- no mascara, no curl, just clean.

Step 1: Trim the Lash Strip
Measure the faux lash to your own lashes, keeping in mind that it's better to have them too short than too long. (Very few people have eyes that will need the whole strip.) Cut off the excess from the outside of the lash (cutting the inside part off will take away from the natural shorter curve of the lashes).

Step 2: Glue the Lashes
Turn the adhesive upside down and allow a bit of the glue to come out of the opening. Move the fake lash across the glue back and forth several times, getting a tacky thick coating without overdoing it. While the adhesive is still wet (you have about 10-15 seconds) and while holding the lash with your tweezers, place the fake lash right in the middle of your eyelid, directly above your lash line (but not on your lashes). With your fingers, press down the outer ends of the fake lash to secure it.

Step 3: Flip the Lashes Upwards
As they are drying, try to gently press with your fingers the top of the lashes and push them upwards towards the eyelid, as though they have been curled up and away from your natural lashes. The lashes will look strange, but have faith in the Eve Pearl Method!

Step 4: Apply Mascara
Weave your own lashes with the upturned fake eyelashes using your favorite mascara. This lifts up your natural lash while connecting to the faux lash and looks as though you've curled them.

Now you have those beautiful lashes on! You better bat those eyes!
