Gwyneth Paltrow has been breaking out of just acting recently, taking on serious singing roles -- in her film, "Country Strong" and as a guest star on "Glee" -- as well as penning a cookbook full of recipes inspired by her father, the late director Bruce Paltrow. All this activity means she's been more visible, promoting her projects and attending events, and all the while with her pitch-perfect, cool-girl style.

Last week, Paltrow was sleek but casual in leather pants, a gray sweater-jacket and simple ballet flats at a signing for her new cookbook, "My Father's Daughter," at a Barnes & Noble in NYC . She perked up the whole ensemble with an abstract-print top, and gave it her signature rock-n-roll edge with a long metal feather pendant.

Dree Hemingway, daughter of Mariel and great-grand-daughter of Ernest, descends from a line of easy-on-the-eye aristocracy. Putting her looks to work, the new-gen blond beauty has appeared in ads and on runways for fashion houses high and low, including Chanel, Givenchy, Calvin Klein, Gucci, Mango, Topshop and H&M.

At an after-party for Scream 4 at NYC's Mondrian Soho, the model and actress, 23, went for a slightly '70s, dressed-down nautical look -- a refreshing departure from the over-the-top-glam evening thing favored by some of her peers. Her ensemble consisted of a navy and white sailor-striped top and wide-leg faded jeans. She accessorized simply -- with a perforated, saddle-leather belt and structured shoulder bag. Suede wedges completed the look.

Lady Gaga has revealed that her hair has started to fall out as she constantly dyes it.

Gaga, a natural brunette, told PEOPLE magazine that she misses her dark hair when she goes to "get a chemical haircut because my blond hair is falling out."

She also said that she sleeps with her makeup on seven days a week. "That is not good for your skin, but I'm blessed with good genes."

The singer revealed that she always uses sunblock on her face, saying that she does not like to tan her face as it is bad for wrinkles.

The "Born this Way" singer said that Princess Diana was one of her beauty influences along with her mother Cynthia Germanotta.

Gaga advised fans that the best beauty tip she could give would be to "Just go with your gut." She added, "Whenever you try to be someone else, it's boring."

When asked what was the one treatment she would likely get from a spa, Gaga immediately revealed it would be a foot massage. She says she would need it to relieve her aching feet from constantly wearing her outrageous sky-high heels.

Last month Gaga revealed that she stays slim by following what she called "The Drunk Diet."

"I am on the drunk diet," Gaga said. "I live my life as I want to, creatively. I like to drink whiskey and stuff while I am working. But the deal is I've got to work out every day, and I work out hung over if I am hung over. And it's about the cross-training and keeping yourself inspired. I have to say, I do a ton of yoga."
