Stylelist 7: Tribal Necklaces

Fallon

When it comes to accessories, you don't always have to follow that less is more motto - especially when it comes to picking a necklace to complete your day to night look. Earlier this season, there seemed to be a resurgence of the tribal trend and though popular as a print, it's the necklaces that've really started to catch our eye.

The tribal-inspired necklace has, as of late, become one of the most versatile and visually mesmerizing pieces of jewelry to grace the necks of trendsetters around the globe. Whether it's a bold statement piece, or a more subtle nod to ancient beadwork or metal craftsmanship, this is one accessory that'll keep you looking adventurous the rest of the summer and well into fall.

Check out our picks for the seven best necklaces in the tribe.

Vancouver's Top Style Destinations and Fashion Designers (PHOTOS)

If we were to describe a coastal, melting pot of a city with a sprawling fashion scene, most people would assume we were talking about New York City. Well, we would actually be talking about Vancouver. The StyleList staff was eager to learn more about Vancouver's style influence, so we asked our friends over at Assignment Fashion to enlighten us. The editors enlisted accomplished stylist Claudia Da Ponte to give them her top five favorite spots in Vancouver by neighborhood. With the help of fashion photographer Toranj Kayvon, the crew hit the streets and gave us a schooling in Canadian style.

(Added bonus, the editors of Assignment Fashion put together a list of the Canadian designers you should definitely take note of.)

    Tibi's Fall Footwear | Cats & Aliens

    Courtesy of Tibi

This coming season, you'll be hard-pressed to find a sidewalk or store shelf not stocked with a pair of velvety slippers. With pajama dressing on the rise lately, this luxe footwear's fast becoming one of the must-have accessories for fall - especially the versions that step a little bit out of the box.

So if you're in the market for a quirky but wearable, luxe-loooking loafer, Tibi's got the ultimate pair. The label's collaborated with shoe company Del Toro to create three limited edition slip-on's, each punctuated with a cartoon cat or little green alien.

The shoes, retailing for $375 each, are a cheeky way to liven up that classic and comfortable look the velvet slipper's become so famous for.

Will you be slipping these on, PJ's or no PJ's, this fall?
