When asked who their style icon is, who wouldn't respond, "Jackie O, of course!" To celebrate what would have been the former first lady's 82nd birthday, we decided to look at how her iconic style is still present today. Rachel Weisz and Katie Holmes, who have both played Jackie, show how easily her fashion sense translates to the present (chic flats, a ladylike handbag and an Hermes scarf are all you need) while Michael Kors updated her feminine style with his resort collection called, "Jackie goes Surfing." Everyone seems to have cited Jackie as their inspiration, which we completely support (as long as you don't call Blake Lively the next Jackie O, yes, we're looking at you "Gossip Girl" costume designer Eric Daman).

Reese Witherspoon recently stepped out in NYC wearing a cheery, bright coral sheath dress by The Row. The newlywed actress warmed up the springy piece for the still-frosty weather with an easy-chic fitted black coat, opaque tights and urban-warrior platform heels.

The Weekender: Channeling Jackie O.

This Sunday, Katie Holmes takes to the TV as Jackie O., one of history's biggest fashion icons, in the miniseries "The Kennedys." So for this installment of The Weekender, we've put together a ladylike look inspired by the Camelot years.

Style tips:

Trench: Every woman should have a classic trench in her wardrobe. It's the ultimate, versatile spring transition piece. Wear it with punky leather shorts and a tee for an edgy look or, in this case, with a classic shift, for an elegant outfit.

Dress: The shift was a wardrobe staple for Jackie O. This Banana Republic version feels fresh, tapping into spring's lace trend.

Necklace: If traditional pearls feel a little costumey, consider a string with modern details like this one by Alexis Bittar. Strung with brown silk ribbon, it has freeform sterling silver touches.

Sunglasses: Large sunglasses were a Jackie O signature. These TopShop lucite-style shades add a little mod edge.

Watch: The only accessory more famous than her sunglasses was Kennedy's Cartier tank watch. This Bulova watch is a more affordable version of that shape.

Shoes: Round toe flats and pumps were a Kennedy shoe staple. Buying nude-colored flats and pumps help elongate the leg.

Handbag: If Kennedy were around today, she might carry a ladylike bag from Kate Spade. The nude patent leather is a great fit for spring, pairing well with the season's warm neutrals as well as its focus on color blocking.

'Mad Men' Costume Designer Janie Bryant Launching Mod Collection for QVC

Now you can get the "Mad Men" look without spending mad money.

Janie Bryant, the Emmy-nominated "Mad Men" costume designer has created a collection of items for QVC that would fit right into the '60s-themed show.

The collection, called Mod by Janie Bryant, will take to the airwaves for an hour-long debut on Sept. 29, however StyleList got a sneak peek from QVC at some of the great pieces.

Styled to look like vintage pieces, the 20-piece collection is jacket heavy - with a faux fur animal-print jacket and matching pillbox hat, a reversible raspberry satin swing coat, boleros, and capelets.

In addition, there will be 10 to 15 pieces of jewelry including necklaces and pins. Items in this collection are priced from $26 to $138.

"Janie Bryant is known for her iconic style and classic elegance which is why it is such an honor to have her design a collection for QVC," Rosemary Murphy, director of merchandising for QVC told StyleList. "Vintage is such a strong trend right now and we feel confident our shoppers will embrace her collection."

From the look of it, fashion's love affair with "Mad Men" and the looks from that era is far from over, and we think that's a great thing.

'Mad Men' and Banana Republic Team Up Again

"Mad Men" is coming back and Banana Republic wants to help you get the show's '60s style.

For the second year in a row, Banana Republic is partnering with the iconic AMC show, promoting the series via its store windows, a how-to style guide, online instructional videos, and a contest in which one customer will win a walk-on role.

One week before the show's July 25 Season 4 premiere, the retailer will launch its Mad About Style campaign and style guide, which shows readers how to dress from 9 to 5 and then for dinner at 8. "Mad Men" characters will be featured alongside Banana Republic looks.

The show's costume designer, Janie Bryant, and Banana Republic creative director Simon Kneen will bring many of the style guide concepts to life with videos on AMC's Web site as well as Banana Republic's Facebook page.

The most important bit - entering to win a walk-on role -- is done by picking up a "ticket" at any Banana Republic in the U.S. and Canada between July 21 and Aug. 11. The ticket bears a code that allows customers to upload photos of themselves wearing their best "Mad Men" look. Series creator Matthew Weiner will select the winner.

How to Wear Cropped Pants for Every Body Type

Fashion fans aren't afraid of a little water -- in fact, they're waiting for a flood. Summer is when women everywhere are showing off their ankles in of-the-moment cropped pants.

Designers certainly have embraced the trend. Emilio Pucci, Dolce & Gabbana and Ralph Lauren, to name a few, all showed cropped pants on their spring runways. But it can be a difficult look to pull off -- and one that can easily look dated, not modern.

We'll tell you how to find the right pair for your body shape, but the number one rule, as is in every style expedition is to work with what you've got.

"It's in the attitude not the clothes," says Josh Christopher, designer for daftbird. "Be confident in what you put on and you will be fine -- regardless of body type."

What are the latest cropped pant styles?

"The gaucho silhouette is so fresh and new again," Mike Gonzalez, designer of his eponymous line, tells StyleList. "Also, a slim cropped cargo pant is very now. A slightly baggy and relaxed hip area that slims down to a more tapered cuff is the perfect combination of casual and luxe. If you have longer legs, it's easier to pull off. But, equally strong is a more slim-fitting Capri length that works well with most body types, especially shorter legs. The slimmer fit at the hip that streamlines down to the cuff is really flattering."

Where should they hit on the leg?

"If you're keeping up with trends, then at the ankle," says Bridgette Raes, style expert and author of Style Rx: Dressing the Body You Have to Create the Body You Want. "On tall women, I would suggest a slightly shorter cropped pant, just so the shortness looks purposeful and not like you outgrew your pants."

Now, about my calves ...

"If you have large calves, to avoid making them look bigger, the hem should never end at the widest part of your calf," Raes says. "The ankle-length trend for Capris should work just fine for women with heavy legs. If a cropped pant is hemmed too short on women with large thighs, it can emphasize that plumper thigh zone. Thin ankles and calves will look even scrawnier if you put them in a pair of wide-legged cropped pants. If you want your ankles and calves to look more substantial, choose a pair of cropped pants that sit closer to the leg."

'Sex and the City 2' Set Designer Lydia Marks Reveals Her Secrets to Decorating Carrie's Apartment

"'Sex and the City' is one movie where everything is considered," says designer Lydia Marks, who decorated the sets for the first film as well as the sequel. As set decorator, Marks is responsible for every detail, from a magazine perched on a coffee table to what's inside an actress's purse when she opens it.

The film's production called for high-end sets, including a Morocco hotel, which was empty prior to shooting. Marks had to completely decorate the hotel, but it was Carrie and Big's Manhattan pad -- which featured custom-made carpets, gold-leaf lighting fixtures, antique furniture, and closet doors with obscenely expensive hardware -- that got the most fabulous décor.

Marks, who also designed sets for "The Devil Wears Prada," talked to StyleList about her favorite "SATC2" pieces. Die-hard fans -- with Big money -- can even buy some of Carrie's featured furnishings.

StyleList: Some pieces you rented for Big and Carrie's apartment are now for sale. Where can we see them?
Lydia Marks: The two vintage armchairs in the living room are at Bergdorf Goodman in New York, the custom light fixture from the library is at Lindsey Adelman Studio, and the dining room table is at Alan Moss Studios in Manhattan.

SL: How did you choose those three pieces?
LM: The armchairs: I was at Bergdorf's looking for a table runner for Charlotte's long, formal dining table. I turned and there were these two exquisite blue armchairs. They became the centerpiece of Big and Carrie's living room, and I ended up basing a lot of the other furniture on these chairs.

The chandelier: I needed a fabulous light fixture for the library. Lindsey Adelman custom-made the hanging fixture, with gorgeous handblown glass globes laced with 14-carat gold foil and gold murrine, all connected into a cluster with brushed brass stems. It's la luxe lamp; [Lindsey Adelman Studio] is like couture for lamps.

Dining room table: Alan Moss has an exquisite collection of furniture, lighting, mirrors, and decorative objects from the 1920s to the 1950s. We rented a lot of pieces, including the chair at Carrie's drop-down desk, sconces for the bathroom, the dining room table. His collection has beautiful finishes, the scale of the pieces was perfect for our sets, and the choices are amazing.

SL: You used a lot of custom-made pieces on the set. Did any turn out particularly well?
LM: I like the blue ottoman in Big and Carrie's living room. We needed to have Carrie sit on an ottoman for an important scene, and I was not sure what padded and upholstered pillow would be up to the task. Anne Kyro Quinn's original piece, made in our choice of color and size, was the perfect solution. I chose blue because it worked well with the deeper browns in the room; it was a pop of brightness. In addition, it was close in color to Carrie's blue walls in her old apartment, which was like bringing a little piece of the old Carrie into this new environment. Anne Kyro Quinn is based in the U.K., but her work is available online.

SL: Which pieces were especially difficult?
LM: We had to re-create Carrie's old apartment from the first movie, and none of the furniture had been saved. We had to re-create it entirely from scratch, and I had trouble tracking down two tables.

The coffee table [foreground in above photo] is from ABC Carpet and Home. ABC's personal shopper helped me find this table the first time AND the second time. It's like detective work.

The black side table [at rear, above] is from Area I.D. in New York. I rented a great pair of mid-century modern side tables from Area I.D. for the first movie. The tables had been sold, and the buyer refused to rent them to us again, so Area I.D. organized a furniture maker to recreate them from photographs. They came out perfectly, black piano finish and all.

SL: You were particularly happy with Big and Carrie's gleaming kitchen backsplash. How did you get that effect?
LM: These tiles are three-dimensional and I thought they'd photograph well. They're custom-made and had a carbon glaze with a silvery sheen. They are from Heath Tile in Sausalito, Calif., one of the few mid-century American potteries still in existence.

SL: Patricia Field chose what Carrie wore, but you filled her famous closets. Where did you get all that high-fashion stuff?
LM: Carrie's old closet was filled with her wardrobe from the TV series and the first movie. The clothes in Carrie's new closet are all from Net-A-Porter.

eBay's New Fashion Site Feted in NYC

Celebrity stylist Annabel Tollman is an unabashed fan of eBay.

So it was a marriage made in heaven when execs from eBay approached her to serve as one of the site's new experts in style.

"I am thrilled to be able to justify my time spent on eBay now," said the stylist, who dresses Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Simpson and Cynthia Nixon. "The new fashion site is perfect for girls like me who have champagne taste on a lemonade budget."

Tollman hosted an intimate dinner for some of the most influential fashion web site writers (StyleList included) Monday evening at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York's NoLIta.

The auction site is trying to maximize the services it offers its fashion customers. The new "Fashion" tab on the home page takes shoppers to www.fashion.ebay.com, which is the gateway to its Fashion Vault, to getting trend information from its style experts and doing very specific searches for types of apparel (men, women, vintage, by brand, etc.) and more.

This is also where partnerships like the recent Narciso Rodriguez for eBay collection will be sold.

Tollman is joined by fellow celebrity stylists Britt Bardo, Estee Stanley, Rebecca Weinberg and Kate Young as well as by fashion trend experts Constance White and Karen Bard as eBay's "Experts in Style" who offer up shopping tips and fashion advice on the site's new fashion tab with videos and written bits.

eBay is also beta testing a new iPhone app for eBay Fashion that will allow its users to do cool things like upload a fashion item to sell in literally a minute or so and to add items the user likes to his or her virtual "closet" where it can be tried on a form or even a downloaded picture of the user. This app will be available in May.

Big-busted women, have you met fashion savior Sam Saboura yet? The uber-stylist, author, and designer of HSN's Styled by Sam Saboura fashion line, is helping women to dress for their shape in our latest video series, "My Body, My Style."

Over the past week, he's guided new mom Genelle on outfits for the office, and for a casual day out.

In this episode he offers tips on how Genelle - and women who share a similarly large cup size - can dress for a fun evening on the town. And let us tell you, does she look glam in her new party dress!

According to Sam, the most important takeaway is to create balance and work with proportion so your top half doesn't overwhelm the rest of your body. If that means buying a slightly bigger size and going to the tailor for some easy alterations, then so be it!

'My Body, My Style' Video: What Should a New Mom Wear to Work?

Getting dressed is never as easy as it should be. Putting together the pitch perfect outfit can often seem like a complex geometric equation. What top to go with those flared trousers? Are these accessories weighing me down or do I need more? Which black shoe goes best?

Throw in the fact that all women are proportioned differently and one ensemble manifests into an infinite number of possibilities.

To help simplify the art of dressing, we've enlisted uber-stylist, author, and TV personality Sam Saboura to host the StyleList's newest video series, "My Body, My Style." In each episode he will offer insight into how real women of varying sizes should dress for their shape. We'll build three outfits for each body type: an office look, a weekend ensemble; and an out-on-the-town blockbuster.

For those ladies that are feeling wardrobe-challenged (and who doesn't?), it's definitely worth a peek. For example, do bustier women realize that not wearing a statement necklace can help to elongate your upper half?
