EASY EYES
When it comes to eye shadow it's all about highlighter. That's all the shadow you need for a quick, easy eye-opening look. "The key is using it in the right place!" explains Carmindy. "If you have pale skin, use a white shimmerry highlighter, for medium tones choose a champagne shade, and on dark skin, pale gold works perfectly," says Carmindy.

Step 1: Inner Corners
Brush highlighter lightly on the inside corner of the eyes with a fluffy shadow brush.

Step 2: Browbones
Sweep highlighter right underneath the brow bone to brighten eyes and open them up.

Final Look
"Because the area under the brow bone is lighter, now the lid automatically looks darker, cutting out the extra step of having to put on two shadows, one light and one dark," says Carmindy.

BASIC EYES
If you want to create an easy eye shadow look that will take you from day to evening, you really only need two shades-a shimmery highlighter and slightly deeper shade for your lids.

Step 1: Highlight Shade
Brush on a pale, shimmery highlighter just underneath brows using a fluffy shadow brush.

Step 2: Inner Corners
Lightly brush on highlighter at the inner corners of the eyes.

Step 3: Lid Shade
Using a smoky quartz shade, sweep shadow across the lids, from the upper lash line up into the crease.

Step 4: Lower Lash Line
With that same smoky shadow shade, using an angled brush, apply it under the lower lash line, from the outer corners toward the inner corners.

Final Look
"With only two eye shadows (a highlighter shade and deeper, smoky shade) you can create nicely defined eyes. It's super easy, and it's a universally flattering look," says Carmindy.
